Earl Warren, Jr. , 1944-2014 was a photographer, social documentarian and an often keen observer of comic irony. He documented many unique scenes, stories and people, often portrayed in their every day life in the rural south. Earl was raised in far Western Kentucky, but took a job as a newspaper photographer with the Tallahassee Democrat in Tallahassee, Florida when he was 25. Nominated for a Pulitzer prize just one year later, he was winning National Press Photographer Association awards almost every month.
This site is dedicated to documenting his work and a tribute to his unique perspective.
